Candidate for Maine State House District 60
Augusta
A community leader we can trust
Augusta is the city I love - the city I proudly call home. For 23 years, between 1998 and 2021, I served as your City Manager. I worked each day to make our beautiful city a better place to live and work. In my nonpartisan role, I focused on achieving results - not playing politics. I learned that respect, moderation, and compromise are some of the keys to success. As your next State Representative, I will take the same approach.
In addition to my 23 years of service with the City of Augusta, I've been proud to serve our community in many other ways. I am adjunct faculty at both Thomas College and the University of Maine at Augusta. In the past, I served as the Kennebec Valley YMCA President and am still actively involved with the organization today.
I have also served on the Board of Directors for the Friends of the Blaine House and on the Executive Board of the Maine Municipal Association.
We must continue to protect Maine's lakes, rivers, and streams - especially our beautiful Kennebec River and Togus Pond here in Augusta.
Community colleges and vocational training programs play an integral role in our effort to expand job opportunities for all. Our work to invest in these colleges and programs is a top priority.
We need to preserve critical state programs while holding the line against new taxes or fees on Mainers.
